Biru Paksha Paul is\u00a0professor of economics at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Cortland where he teaches since 2007.\u00a0 He served as chief economist of Bangladesh Bank over 2015-2016. He also served as a guest speaker at Dhaka University and various public administration academies in Bangladesh. Dr. Paul received his BSS (Honors) and MSS in economics from Dhaka University and MBA in finance from the University of Technology-Sydney.\u00a0 He received his PhD in economics from Binghamton University.\u00a0 His papers have been accepted in numerous international journals.\u00a0 He received the outstanding achievement in research award 2015 SUNY Cortland. His books in Bengali include the topics such as the free market economy, banking, growth acceleration, institutions, South Asia, and debate.
